Supplementum Grammaticum Graecum is a comprehensive collection of critical editions of testimonies and fragments of ancient Greek grammarians – scholars of textual criticism, literary exegesis, grammar, biography, and related issues. They are mostly known to us only from fragments or testimonies in the works of other ancient writers.
Organised by grammarian, Supplementum Grammaticum Graecum introduces the life and works of almost 100 ancient grammarians, and includes all their known testimonies and textual fragments along with critical apparatus, translation, and commentary.
The online environment includes multiple search options and filters, and the option of placing text and commentary (or apparatus or translation) next to each other. Supplementum Grammaticum Graecum is an indispensable tool for scholars of Greek antiquity, complementing Jacoby Online, especially Die Fragmente der Griechischen Historiker IV.
The project is overseen by general editors Franco Montanari, Fausto Montana, Lara Pagani, and Serena Perrone, whose expertise ensures the scholarly precision, rigor and reliability of this resource.
